Common Queries on PEB Portal
1. What is this Portal for?
This portal allows users to submit, track, and manage users’ applications online in a single platform, improving efficiency and transparency throughout the application process.
2. Who is eligible to use the Portal?
The portal is open to all users who meet the eligibility criteria stated in the application guidelines (https://www1.peb.gov.sg/guidelines/). Please refer to the guidelines before submitting your application.
3. How do I log in to the Portal?
PEs and Applicants:
If you are Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents (PRs), and holders of valid work pass (Employment Pass, S-Pass, Work Permit or Dependant’s Pass) and already registered with PEB, select “Log in with Singpass”. You will be redirected to the Singpass Login page. Enter your Singpass credentials to login. After successful login, you will be redirected to the PEB Dashboard. Please refer to the respective user’s guideline for more details.
Licensees and Course Organisers:
Select “Log in with Corppass”. You will be redirected to the Corppass Login page. Enter your Corppass credentials to login. After successful login, you will be redirected to the PEB Dashboard. Please refer to the respective user’s guideline for more details.
4. What documents or information do I need to prepare?
Users are advised to prepare all required supporting documents and information in advance, as outlined in the application guidelines, to ensure a smooth submission process.
5. Can I save a draft and submit my application later?
Yes, the portal allows you to save your application as a draft and return to complete and submit it before the application deadline.
6. Can I edit my application after submission?
Once an application is submitted, edits are generally not allowed. Please review your application carefully before submission. If amendments are required, please log in to your account to submit a change request. Click “Request Changes” tab to submit.
7. How will I know if my application is successful?
You will receive updates via the portal and/or email notifications once your application status changes. You may also log in to the portal to check your application status.
8. Is there a deadline for application submission?
Yes, all applications must be submitted by the stated deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted once the applications close.
9. Is my data secure?
Yes, all information submitted through the portal is protected and handled in accordance with applicable data protection and security policies.
10. Where can I find user guides to help me navigate and submit applications on the portal?
User guides are available at https://www1.peb.gov.sg/user-guides-for-peb-portal/ to help you navigate the portal and complete your applications.
11. What should I do if I encounter technical issues or if I have further enquiries?

Common Queries on Qualifications
The Professional Engineers Board registers professional engineers in the branches of civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. A person applying for registration as a professional engineer to the Professional Engineers Board is required to hold an approved degree or qualification listed in the Professional Engineers Professional Engineers (Approved Qualifications) Notification 2009 and acquired not less than four years of relevant practical experience. He is also required to sit and pass examinations prescribed by the Board. The applicant is required to sit and pass the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination and following that, to sit and pass the Practice of Professional Engineering Examination. In addition, the applicant is required to attend an interview.
The qualifications approved by the Board for the purpose of registration as a professional engineer are listed in the Professional Engineers (Approved Qualifications) Notification 2009.
In general, the Board does not consider qualifications obtained from distance learning, twinning programs or programs that are not approved as meeting the prescribed requirements.
If an applicant's undergraduate engineering degree is not listed in the Notification, the Board may consider the application for registration if the degree is supplemented by a Master in the same branch of engineering from NTU or NUS; or a PhD degree in the same branch of engineering from an institution approved by PEB.
Common Queries on Examinations
Applications to sit for examinations are to be submitted online with fees made by e-payment. An applicant is also required to come to PEB in person and bring original educational certificates, academic transcripts, identification record, etc. for verification, together with his hardcopy application. Application received by post will not be accepted.
Verification of documents for application to sit for Practice of Professional Engineering Examination and PE registration will not be required if an applicant has applied to sit for Fundamentals of Engineering Examination online.
There is no exemption from examinations on account of years of experience, professional registration in other jurisdictions, or memberships in learned or professional institutions etc.
PEB does not provide study notes, past year examination papers or conduct courses for the purpose of preparing for examinations.
